Yehaa Bob Show-Disney World

I learn an interesting self-fun fact, during the Yehaa Bob show. Thanks to the Coffee Break Spanish podcast, I mainly know the song Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, in Spanish. I fumble quite a bit, but I take Yehaa Bob’s spoken wisdom to heart, “Who cares what you look like, you are never going to see these people again.”

Bob Jackson has musically dazzled audiences at Disney World, for over twenty years. Seeing Yehaa Bob’s show, is a bucket list, Disney World, activity. The show takes place on scheduled evenings, in Port Orleans Riverside’s, River Roost Lounge.

The praises of Yehaa Bob are exclaimed on many Disney podcasts, websites, and YouTube channels. The more chatter I hear, the more I need to experience the show for myself.

Staying at Port Orleans Riverside Resort, makes the logistics of attending the show convenient.

We arrive at River Roost, before show start, and score a front-row, table. After Yehaa Bob sets up the stage, he converses with the attendees at each table. He asks our names, and inquires if we are celebrating anything special.

During the show, you can order drinks, snacks, and desserts.

I knew the show would be energetic and jolly, I did not know that the show involves an extensive amount of audience participation.

The music is a mix of childhood favorites, Disney songs, and popular, contemporary songs.

Being newbies to the show, it takes a moment to catch on. There are lines and/or actions Bob performs that prompt specific audience responses. Fortunately, Bob has a strong fan base, so plenty of people already know the shtick.

I’m not sure if it’s because we are in the front row, or if I exude a specific childlike vibe, but Yehaa Bob marks me out. Whenever there is something that requires child participation, Yehaa Bob calls me out to join them. Hence, finding myself at the front of the stage, performing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.

At one point in the show, my friend Brenda and I are called on to march around the room with the little kids. Other audience members are asked to perform during certain songs. Towards the end, all of the men are encouraged to participate in the YMCA

Watching Yehaa Bob perform is a marvel. The piano rocks and shakes. He sits, he stands, he does little dance moves, he kicks his leg high.

He keeps the performance energy high, without a break. If Bob decides to sell his own brand of vitamins, a workout routine, a nutrition plan, take my money. Yehaa Bob, Grandma Joy, and Iris Apfel, are my Senior inspirations.

If you need an inoculation of happiness, attend the show. Extroverts, especially ones who love fun and silliness, this is a must do. If you are an introvert, I encourage you to attend the show, just sit in the back. Or sit near the front and challenge your comfort zone (new experiences that challenge you are great for your neurologic health). Remember, as Bob says,

“You’re never going to see these people again.”
