I wake up and realize that it’s our last full day. I immediately put the thought out of my mind. We have a morning of kayaking ahead. I don’t want my the-trip-is-almost-over-blues to ruin the fun.
We launch our kayaks directly from the ship and set out to paddle around the rock formations near Isla Tortuga.
Today, Jenny is our Uncruise guide. She does an excellent job directing us close enough to the formations to enjoy them, but far enough away to avoid unfortunate crashes.
The scenery is stunning with an ombre blue sky, clear water, and perfectly placed clouds.
It’s amazing!
The pictures don’t do it justice.
Though we haven’t done a ton of kayaking, this paddling trip, is my favorite so far.
We land on Isla Tortuga to savor the last of our beach time.
Everyone is making the most of Isla Tortuga’s calm, colorful, water.
Some people snorkel.
Some people paddleboard.
Some people, like us, just splash around, doing our best to mentally capture this moment forever.
We have the option to kayak back to the ship.
As fun as it seems, we take a skift. We decided to go big or go home for the afternoon. We’re going to do the longest hike, so we want to reserve our energy for what will be the final adventure of our trip.

atSo sad I missed this gorgeous place when I visited Costa Rica. I heard talked to tons on people who were going there. We just didn’t have the time. Next time!

atThe Uncruises look so incredible – and so does this kayaking! Kayaking is one of my favorite things to do and this looks like some of the best around. Lucky you!

atWow, that beach looks perfect! We really enjoy kayaking, and this looks like a great morning of paddling. We haven’t taken an Uncruise, but this is certainly encouraging to look into it further! Thanks for sharing on #WeekendWanderlust.
