Plazas, piazzas, squares, no matter what you call them, I love them. I love to examine their lay outs, their landscaping, and what makes this plaza different from that plaza. Exploring plazas is one of my favorite things to do when visiting a city. The historic Casco Viejo section of Panama City certainly has its share.
Plaza Herrera
Plaza de la Independencia
Plaza Bolivar
It happened so fast. A guy in a Pickachu outfit bounded through the plaza, leapt up the steps, then did a flip at the top. I wish I had caught a more exciting part on film than the aftermath shoe tie.
The Beautiful Fountain Spot
I couldn’t find out for certain what this section is called or if it is definitely part of Plaza de Francia, so I’ll just call it the beautiful fountain spot.
Plaza de Francia
I love places where people actively gather to watch the the sunset. With ever growing access to multitudes of entertainment choices, it makes my heart happy that people still choose to stand still and watch the sky put on its daily color show.

atI love the idea of wandering from plaza to plaza. Some lovely spots here, and that sky – it’s pretty cool even when the sun isn’t going down!

atLess than 48 hours in the city. We then went through the canal and then explored nature.
